it appears that he did get a hogh-dollar haircut on AF1 but it didn't cause delays

Clinton did get a haircut in AF1 while it was at LAX. 2 (of the 4) runways were shut down, as is normal practice whenever AF1 is coming or going. The Secret Service did request a 20 minute delay.
However, Clinton's haircut wasn't really the cause, and no flights were delayed as a result of AF1's presence, regardless of the haircut. So, it's really a non-story that was promoted to "story" status by a reporter trying to get "good" copy. "Good" meaning: it sells. -Troy |
