Yep, and the reason they are? because so many people have been told they are so they are ordering the shit out of it thinking its about to become hard to get. It's only hard to get because we're buying more than ever.

Yea, I think everyone in the AK47 forum knew this a few months ago. Although some stores are getting it in now. Gander Mountain, for one. |

Ding ding ding!!! Somebody made up a rumor about a shortage, and then people started buying like there wouldn't be any more. Thus suppliers' inventory was depleted and now you are seeing backorders. Wolf is producing plenty of ammo and is importing it into the US as quickly as possible. There IS NO SHORTAGE of ammo, just a sudden and unexpected spike in demand that the supply side will soon satisfy. |

Shortage? Mine shipped out from SG a couple of days ago!
 Of course it'll get there a lot sooner if you order it last December like I did.

i ordered 5.45x39 from ammunitionstore,was told it would ship in a couple days.called 4 days later,said their computers were down.called back 5 days later.said it was on back order!i cancelled!

If you had a 7.62x39mm AMMO FORT none of this would matter. That's why I'm constructing Fort .308 Win, and I don't have one yet- and at this rate may never take take delivery before I croak. Then you can check the EE for "Callgood's Gone Out of Business Sale."
