Just curious.
I was kicking around in cabela's gun library and saw some VERY pricey guns. Who owns these? do people shoot them? like the 20k nitro rifle |
My most valued gun is one that I paid the least for. My first firearm. My Sig P226.
I have a Barrett M82A1 lying around somewhere. I haven't found a place to shoot it yet, though.
Well, believe it or not, but in 1995 or 1996, I actually saw a Polytech Legend underfolder identical to mine going for $4K.
No joke, and it sold. I was stunned. |

[hijack] Whats the accuracy of those, compared to say, the AR-15 A2 at 100yds? [/hijack] |

+1. I keep tripping over it. |

In '87, I bought a Colt Combat Elite .45 and sent it directly to Bill Wilson. They turned it into a Master Grade LE/K and it was the finest gun I've ever owned. $2500 and it was worth every penny. That gun would put 5 rounds into a quarter at 25 yards from the bench...it never jammed, felt like a .38 special with that comp and was absolutely gorgeous to look at.
The guys in my IPSC club were all jealous.... HH |
I keep tripping over an RPD that I have yet to shoot.
I've been watching those mac's too. GEEZE they are getting pricey |
my new SPR is the most expensive right now, the kobra carry is second
My Bushmaster AR-15 carbine.
Yeah, my collection's pretty small. |
Probably better then a run of the mill AR15, but I have never shot it at 100 yds. The shooting distance for biathlon is 50 meters. I can shoot dime size groups with a rest. The target diameter for shooting prone is 45mm. |

AR- 50. Sweet! |
most expensive? prolly my 82A1, which i bought as a divorce present to myself after i got rid of my first wife.
My Freedom Arms m97 .45 I swapped 3 firearms to a forum member for.
Worth every penny. |
...haha.... |
Prolly toss up between my 906SA series Green AUG..and a G43 w/ original scope mount and scope.
My most valuable?
My Colt SP1 Registered Receiver and my Colt M16A1. |
Gun with most sentimental value, my grandfather's old 38/44 Outdoorsman. Probably only worth 500-650 at best(original box and grips plus being 95%+ condition).
However I would have a hard time selling it for anything less than a mint. Most expensive gun I have built/bought? AR10 A4 that has an ARMS SIR, Vortex flash suppressor, Badger Ord rings, Leupold 4.5-14x MKIV M1, JP trigger/hammer, and Magpul M93A stock. Once guns approach the 2500-3k dollar level I have a hard time justifying them no matter what they are. |
Do you shoot it? |
The Krinkov that I am buying is going to cost about $1100.
In the future it will be a .50BMG |
Damn!!! You've got two of them?!?! |
