The BAR and the M1911 have no business being on that list.  The BAR had no effect on the outcome of WWI, and by the time of WWII it was outclassed by the Bren derivitive of the ZB26/30. The M1911 had no effect on the outcome of anything. Missing from the list was the world's first effective general purpose machine gun, the MG34, and the world's first effective assault rifle, the STG43.  Those two weapons revolutionized modern small arms.

your right, the 1911 was the first pistol of that design, ya know, the one used in almost every pistol made ever since, and is still extremly effective today 90 years later. so what

im betting someone will defend the BAR shortly. and youre right about the bar. it never won a war like the MG34
