If I am not bad mistaken, the $8.99 mags were a deal right around Christmas time/end of the year (I was wanting to buy some). I believe they were a limited offer before going up to $10.99 and such. The banner is probably just in need of an update. Check with 44mag.com about it also, they cool to deal with.
