Seriously, what's the hot setup for getting something that can mend packs and everything else? An old Singer? Bostich nail gun? Wake the wife up and let's get some answers!

Go to a sewing machine STORE.


Essentially, you need good metal gears and a travelling foot.

I've got a cheap White that has done really well.  You need to set the tension on zero to get through the layers and sometimes feed it through.

It's important to start a new project with a new needle...will really help get through the layers.
