Eric was voted best guitar player like 6 years in a row by Guitar Player magazine. I think this recording is from a MTV All-Star baseball game about 10 years ago.

He's a great guitarist, but wandered to far from the original tune.

It was like those singers who butcher the national anthem while trying to "make it their own."

Phenominal guitarist but he doesn't know how to use a wha pedal or flanger for shit.   Sounded like he has a 5 year old mashing the buttons at random.

Isn't he the guy who says that he can tell a difference in the brand of batteries used in his stomp boxes?  I personally this he is full of himself and full of shit!

He can play, but I think their are much better players out there.

tagged... I remember playing cliffs of dover on one of those little vinyl record inserts that Guitar Player magazine used to include waaaay back when I was young'n guitar slinger.

Must of been sometime around 1985 - 1986 I think.
