I guess it's not enough for the freeways to turn into parking lots on certain days, now it
looks like the skies will be getting the same treatment. [Although I would like to try one
of these things out. They're pretty cool, seems like. But 6,000 or more flying around ?
YIKES !]

Calculate the volume of sky available in a 50 mile radius centered on Chino; the traffic ain't a problem with sane traffic management.

This doesn't sound like putting the 405 in the air. This is considerably less than what I have seen them planning to do. Basically, they want to put the 405 in the air and they are planning GPS-defined air corridors where personal airplanes would travel in defined lanes just as they do on the 405 today. The purpose would be a direct replacement of the 405.

I have questions myself about how reliable they will be. They say that they will be safer than cars but, if you have a problem, it is a long way down.
