Set off my first half-pounder yesterday, in a mound of recycled poop. They spread on wheat/corn etc out here, it's just like real fine black topsoil. BOOM and a big grin, and a medium crater.

You can also make dynamite and C4 equivelant. The point is there are people who have seriously injured themselves in their attempts at making Tannerite, mostly from using a bad recipie (the stuff was too sensitive). I'm not saying it can be done or that it's not hard, just to be careful.

Ring's recipe is exactly what I was making a point about. It's a simple one that is not too sensitive, though it's not very well suited for charges under 3/4 lbs. Some people have gotten hurt with concoctions that are more sensitive whether that be in production or use. True Tannerite will detonate in as small amounts as pill bottles or small envelopes of aluminum foil, comes prepared so no grinding on your part is necessary. The current version of it is more than just nitrate and aluminum powder.

That said if all you want to do is blow large charges or mass amounts, Ring's recipie is simple and safe when used properly. It's a worthy package to purchase considering the additional information the material contains.

No matter the case, this type of reactive target is the shiznit.

just buy one case of tannerite, shoot it all with out law enforcement visiting your home... then you can consider making your own.

Remember Safety... No metal, glass, or shooting at close range. its a true high explosive detonation.
