I never saw it.

I checked recently with the local rental and they didn't have it.

Is it worth a buy?

If you like cheesy comedies that were meant to be cheesy. Loved every second of it! Get netlflix, never have to drive to the movie place again!

One of the funniest movies ever.   My wife doesn't get it, so apparently it's not for everyone.  Either that, or she is insane

Fun movie, I always liked it. I got it on DVD when they restored it.

Supposedly it was supposed to be a sequel to Buckaroo Bonzai (another flick I liked) but nobody wanted to pick it up after BB didn't do so hot at the theaters!

My wife too. Must be a woman thing. She also doesn't find Beavis and Butthead funny.   Odd.

The movie served one purpose, to make me crave a GerberMk II (Bench Mark/Gerber/Bear MGC Tac-II).

But sadly, those babies aren’t found easily and they ain’t cheap.  To quote Lo Pan: "This just pisses me off to no end!"

Everybody relax, I'm here.

More appropriate for here.

Wang Chi: Here's to the Army and Navy and the battles they have won; here's to America's colors, the colors that never run.
Jack Burton: May the wings of liberty never lose a feather.

One of my favorit lines, from Jack Burton to Lo Pan;

"Are you crazy?  Is that your problem?"

The commentary on the DVD is hilarious as well.  Essentially just the director and the guy who plays Jack Burton laughing at themselves and at the movie.  Good stuff.

Well, she's a woman, so it's probably in her genes. I don't think many women appreciate this movie.

The real 'joke' of the movie is that the d the sidekick is actually the hero, and the hero is just the sidekick (but thinks he's the hero).

The DVD with the commentary by carpenter and russell is cool. Just like a couple of old friends getting back together to talk about the movie they made - and anything else they can think of.

Considering they made lord knows how many movies together, I'd expect them to be old buds

Now I gotta go home and watch the director's commentary...it was the one part of the disc I haden't watched/heard yet.

Same here for both movies.  I was really surprised by The 5th Element.

I wish 'ol Jack Burton would climb aboard the
