Has there actually been movement on the illegal "immigrant" issue during the last month?

I haven't been keeping up with the news for the last month
but, I thought I saw something about laws being voted on regarding the illegals

Can someone bring me up to date?

Did some bills pass both houses, just one of the houses or was it all just another smokescreen
