its a bunch of magpul brand crap, so probably about $500 for the stripped lower, 6.5 barrel, and upper

Add the parts up noob. You can get almost all of it in the EE.
ETA: the misprint? I'd say you could start a fire with it or use it for TP if the SHTF. Or, to put it in noobspeak: it's worth two things, jack & shit. And jack just left town.

Well, I think some noticed, but apparently don't care. The fact that there are folks in the publishing/media business that don't know jack about firearms is not really that surprising.
I am fairly certain that the rifle is not a Kalishnikov  , but I also remember seeing an advertisement for a handgun where all the rounds were in the mag backwards. You would think that these things would be proofed by folks that knew a little about firearms, but I guess not.ETA: I am slow in typing, I see you mentioned the HK add. |
