I had a girl ask me to take her shooting right before Christmas. The ranges were closed & she lives out of town so I told her next visit I would make sure she went.

Oh,...by the way, the girl is my sister's lesbian girlfriend. I took my lesbian/liberal sister shooting during Thanksgiving time when she was in town for a few days.

It was really funny, I asked her to do something with me as I have been trying to reconect with her for a long time. She knows my view on her lifestyle so no matter what I have tried she has stayed aloof. I asked her to save a couple of hrs for me the next day & she said sure!

I called later to confirm & my om answered, & said if I had planned on taking her shooting she would definately would not want to go. I was dissapopinted & decided to just take her out to lunch.

A couple of hrs later my sister called & said she would love to go shooting! I took her to an indoor range as her time was very limited & it was much closer than my outdoor range. We had a ball & she shot pretty darn good.

She shot my 2 Kimber .45s & my baby eagle, but perfered my Walther P22/ We shot about 150 45, & a few hundred .22

She had a digatel camera with & I got a bunch of pictures of her shooting.
I was surprized at how good she shot. She said I took her shooting a lot when she was little, but I really can't remember it.
Anyway, I think her having fun prompted her girlfriend to ask me to take her too.

I don't know if lesbians & guns is really a good thing. but I do want my sister to protect herself, as there are many who would harm her for he lifestyle alone, not to mention she is a pretty single woman.

Maybe little by little I can convert her to a gun liker.

The Lady in the pic' is the owner of a vegan restaurant in the Portland area that I started talking (Fighting) with while deployed.  While she considers herself "Bi" (1 in 10 relationships involve guys) and IS liberal as hell she DID agree to go shooting with me after awhile and progressed from a Ruger MK-2 to a Taurus M-85 and up to a Hungarian Sa-85 (That she's shooting in the pic').

We still see each other (When she's in a "Guy" mood lol) and she's a "Gasp!" gun-owner these days

Be cool and start your friend off with something that won't scare her.  Once she's convinced that the gun won't  turn around and bite her you can introduce her to other options.

Great job Searcher.......sounds like your sister is coming around, and getting her G/F into it as well. That's two for the price of one and hopefully two less that will support gun control. Which will befit us all in the end.

If everyone at Arfcom recruited one lesbian and/or vegan gun hating liberal woman this year, we could be in good shape by 2008.  At the very least, I think we should all make an effort to get our girlfriends, and girlfriend's friends, and wives active in shooting.

Same thing happened to me.

She's 13 years old.

But her mom happens to be my girlfriend.

So I took them both shooting last week.

We all had a great time.

Last time a woman asked me to take her shooting she wanted me to hold the target!
