An hour that challenges your view of the world and your mother's wisdom -- "Myth, Lies and Straight Talk" with John Stossel.

I just saw a commercial about this episode -- it'll be talking about gun and control and suggested that gun control has no effect on crime (duh) but I thought it strange that ABC would be reporting such. Anybody see anything on this?

Might be a rerun from last year. If so, it is a good watch. - Only 10min. +/- long, IIRC.

John Stossel isn't the typical scare-you-with-hysteria type of investigative reporter. He's very much a free market, libertarian type. It's very glaring to see someone like that working in the news media, because I think Stossel's just about the only one. At least I can't think of any others.

damn, i gotta wake up earlier or stay up later!

stossel isn't necessarily pro or anti 2a, he's an investigative journalist who actually practices journalism as they teach it in school - dispassionate, objective, and taking all the facts into consideration.

if i was a journalist, he'd be my god...

It has been on before. He basically thoroughly rips the gun control arguments and shows the supporters up for their own ignorance of the subject. Ten minutes to complete destruction.

it's a repeat from earlier this year or last year. pretty good segment about guns.

believe it or not, but John Stossel is one of the good guys. He is a rabid libertarian. He had a similar special last year before New Years.
