I get free food at least a few times a month.

I just go to the enlisted club and eat the free bar food, usually chiken wings, BBQ ribs, pulled pork, or roast beef...all you can eat

Once a month they have membership night...free buffet

My work is required by law to feed me.  But only desperation drives me to eat there.

Yes.  Do it.  Teach those fuckers never to bother to buy you food again (or do anything else nice).  It only leads to trouble.

That reminds me of something my brother told me when he was working in N.O. a few years back.  The company he worked for put on a crawfish boil for the employees every Spring.  Said he got tired of watching some of the employees fill up boxes with boiled crawfish and put em in their car for later on.  Most of the time when he got there, it was all gone.

They soon quit having the crawfish boil.  Some people really know how to spoil a good thing.

Yeah I know what you mean.  I used to work at a cafeteria at a nearby university, and back in the days before I worked there they used to allow the cooks and everyone to bring home leftovers.  It was all good and great until people began cooking huge amounts of extra food for themselves to bring home.  It sucked seeing all the food that was wasted when they stopped allowing people to take home leftovers.

But it's not "free" as you pay to belong to the club
