Go to news.google.com

And read several different articles from several different sources on the same subject.

I like reading Aussie Newspapers on news articles pertaining to US Political Issues.
US news sources on US Issues will be slanted one way or another.

I look at it this way, the USA news media usually slants the news to motivate you to some view point most of the time liberal, and the number of new media outlets in the USA is so concentrated that you can count them on your 2 hands.

But, I find that BBC News, the UK version has surprisingly has wide coverage of news regarding the USA, and since the BBC more or less has zero political ax to grind in the USA, the slant of the news is different.

The BBC's mental assumptions are those of the fairly soft Left. They are that American power is a bad thing, whereas the UN is good, that the Palestinians are in the right and Israel isn't, that the war in Iraq was wrong,...

I suggest multiple sources, there is no sinlge one, even wire service like AP has biases.

Finding out the opposition view helps, and conventional & unconventional sources are good to get a balance.

In the end, YOU decide what the news really is, for you.

WorldNetDaily?  Hmmmm...I would have agreed, but now they're  now reporting the most insidious, self-replicating, indestructable spam in the history of the internet as fact.  I submit exhibit A:

Please Gawd, Make It Stop

From Article:

<Snip> Since its launch, coalition forces in Iraq have suspected that terrorists are using it, along with GPS (global positioning system) units to carry out attacks on their bases.

In an e-mail recently posted on the Internet, a U.S. Marine who has served in Iraq suggested the possibility.

"Bad guy technology: simple yet effective," he wrote. "They use GPS units for navigation and Google Earth for overhead views of our positions."  <Snip>

sorta half in jest.  he has a flair for pointing out the stupidness of the religion of peace.  Kind of like shooting fish in a barrel.  Libtards hate him.  sometimes you just need to judge new sources based purely on who they piss off.

Did you read the source?

Bill Sweetman, a technological warfare expert with Jane's, the military and intelligence specialist publisher,

He may have a silly name but someone working at Jane's may have a little more insight into some of the going's on than you or me.

Not exacty tin foil hat people.

Yep.
What I do is gather my news from a variety of sources, then filter out the BS and come up with a reasonable idea of the truth.
