make anyone else feel ill?
I LOVE the smell of driving by a coffe plant factory. But I cant STAND the taste of it.
The TASTE of coffee makes me fell ill, but I actually really like the smell of it. |
It's the only things that motivates me to go to work every morning.
I wouldn't go so far as say ill, but I don't like the smell at all. I guess it smells better than acetone.
I love the smell of coffee in the morning. Smells like......victory.
Perhaps I'm crazy. The sight of the coffee stains on trash cans and counter tops, and even on the Mr. Coffee make me ill as well. It looks like diarreah stains. It's the only damn thing in the grocery store that is so strong that it overpowers everything else.

Do you mean the plant in Houston just east of downtown? Geeeez, that thing stinks like, hell, it just stinks. But it has nothing to do with the smell of fresh ground or the smell of a fresh, rich cup a joe. |
Alright - I'm not the only one! |
Yeah Ive had to leave the room, to keep from hurling when someone was drinking it or had just drank some.

When I was a kid, and we got in the car early in the morning to go on vacation, (we always drove on our vacations except once), and mom and dad would crack open their thermos of coffee, YES, the smell made me nauseous. I never barfed, but it DID make me nauseous.
That combination of factors...early morning, in the car, and with coffee from a thermos, has always been a bad combo for me. It might still be bad for me today. But I do drink SOME coffee, though not much. Maybe a cup a week at most. I like my coffee like I like my women: Warm, very sweet, and tan! (Yeah, that's the one!) CJ |
I just want to know what makes it okay for people to think they can stink up an entire office with the stuff? It'd be like me going and dropping ass in the office one morning, it's that vile.
Agreed. Coffee breath...after drinking coffee, lick a dog's ass for a few minutes to freshen your breath.
I like coffee if it's sweet, not bitter. I could never take it black. CJ |
I like the smell, I hate the taste!
I prefer my caffene cold, sweet and fizzy! |
If they put me in Gitmo, and brewed coffee in my cell - I'd talk to get them to stop!
Chesty would cry..... |
Without it i would probably be dead (on the road every day for work).
+1 I always think it's weird that I make coffee all the time at work (for clients and employees), but I never drink the stuff myself. I don't like the idea of becoming dependant on something for pep either. |
Coffee, isn't that French for "makes you sick from the smell".
no.....that's crap-poo-chin-ohh...... darn French..... |
I love the smell of coffee.
Not the taste so much, but the smell. Though I do drink it--with cream and sugar.... and I have a Red Bull while the coffee is brewing. |
There's a big difference between real coffee, and Folgers. Actual coffee beans roasted properly and ground right when you intend to brew are awesome. Drinking Taster's Choice, on the other hand, is like calling a Swisher Sweet a cuban Cohiba. It looks the same, but it sure as hell don't taste the same.

Heed these words. They shall make us strong. |
I am not a coffee drinker but the smell of it IS quite intoxicatng.
+1 When I was preggo with my daughter the smell of coffee made me ill. Violently ill. The first thing I craved after she was born was a cup of coffee. To this day she can't stand the smell of coffee. Weird. |
I have found that the coffee haters [heratics, the lot of them] tend to be Mountain Dew drinkers or the like. I HATE carbonated anything anymore. Seems as if it's just a way to disguise a crappy tasting drink. Coffee is your friend.
Love the smell, don't drink it often but it does make morning smell nice. |
I love coffee. Day ain't worth a damn without a cup in the morning.
As I said previously .............. The coffee smell is intoxicating..........
I must say that I am on my 100 hour of no Copenhagan. |
Not weird at all, when carrying me my mom couldn't stand the smell of coffee. It was the only thing that made her sick. |
I LOVE coffee! I love to smell it. I love to brew it. I love to drink it. I love to eat it .
My Grandma got me hooked on coffee when I was five years old - a cup of coffee, two spoons of sugar," now go play out back until lunch kid." |
I used to work next door to a coffee roaster, it smells terrible, doesn't smell like brewing coffee at all. That smells good, so does the taste. Good coffee, I mean. |
Heratic checking in - yep, I do love the Mountain Dew but at least I don't stink up an entire house or office with it. For some reason coffee drinkers seem to think that everyone else enjoys the smell of it. |
... I like everything about coffee - the world wouldn't be the same without it.
Industrial coffee maker, basket 3/4 full of grounds, and run through twice. Mmmmmmm, the perfect cup of coffee!!!! Of course the pansies complain about it being too strong, but if it doesn't make you jump outta your shoes when you first taste it, it's not strong enough!
