Thanks!

What impressed me the most was all the children. Would like to hear from someone who knows. Is this just the culture, families do most things together/not unusual, or is this something they want the young ones to see and remember?

I'm impressed, those Iraqis have to be the bravest people in the world.  Going to vote with your family in face of the insurgents shooting at them.  We in the USA complain when we have to wait more than 5 minutes to vote, and so we don't vote because it is too inconvient or it was raining.   Here the Iraqis line to vote is at least 2 blocks long.

We kept polls open around here for up to an hour after the scheduled closing time - the lines were just that long!

Supposedly, a few places actually ran out of ballots and had to do some classic "jumping through of ass" to produce more.

It will be interesting to see the reactions to the results - should be in by the New Year.
