Multiple avatars should be allowed; when you post a topic or a reply you could toggle between then to show your current mental state. As is the case now, you could symbloize your presence with a suitable stock image, but it would be far more interesting to have a catalog of actual facial pictures ranging the gamut from bored to enraged.
