There was a bush jumping club at my high school. Not that kind, sickos. They literally jumped off walls into bushes. I have no idea why administration ever approved the club. Still, it gave me something entertaining to watch at lunchtime.

They also suggest naming the tree you climb since it is a living thing.

Highly not recommended. My next door neighbor was doing this at the University of Virginia and managed to break his back on a bush and is now paralyzed from the waist down.  - CD |

....I'm waiting for the sport of "tree-falling", myself. Something for the greenies to dominate. Promises to be a riveting affair, if they can get the insurance for state and national-level events. ogrish-dot-com will have to set up a whole other section just for the photos....

What makes me laugh is I did that shit for a living while in college. Only I also carried a chainsaw, hand saw and various other tools to prune the trees or cut them down. Even used the same harnessess.
I did love the work. Kept me in great shape. |

He's done it more than once. I've watched him before (edit-climb, not fall, thank God), he'll go up trees I wouldn't climb to save my mother. |

HA, Very true. i learned this lesson a few years later in life. Word from the wise...Climbing big rocks can lead to many broken bones. don't ask how i know  |
