All I ever see is overpriced stuff JUNK!

GUNSAMERICA sucks because half the stuff there is already sold.  Auctionarms is even higher than gunbroker!

Is there ever going to be a good auction site for guns?  or is it the nature of an auction site to just drive the prices up?

I fell the same way.

People do not aution thier stuff anymore.

Auction sites are no more than a expensive equiptment exchange with a reserve price.

Notice that the same people post the same item over and over again...nothing ever moves on those sites.

what i think is funny as sh1t is when some one is "selling" an item for more than it costs from another dealer and then uses the other dealers photo in their add. go look at the guys who sell mini uzi bolts for 20, you can get then from cdnn for 4.99, the use the cdnn photo. another is a guy who sells uzi top covers for 30, and they cost 4.99 from cdnn too, and they use cdnn photo as well.

then they sell uzi lowers for 90, the bolt for 20, barrel for 20, front and rear sections for 50, and you can get a whole parts kit for 180

I've sold a few things on Gunbroker and always gave a good deal.  Of course, this was some time ago.  Now, the auction sites are full of people that are trying to run their business through someone elses website.  They never have good deals.  To me, it seems that the best deals are when you find an individual that has a few things they want to get rid of.  I wish they wouldn't let the "businesses" take over the auction sites...

just my 2 cents.

I purchased my Springfield 1911 Operator through Gunbroker and got a good deal.  I probably saved $250 versus purchasing locally.  If you know what you want, then shop the auctions until you find a good deal.

I have not purchsed gun stuff online, but I do purchase my camera lenses on E-Bay.

I can usually find good deals if I am willing to wait. I've also gotton good deals on parts for my M38A1 through E-Bay.

Don't bite on the fist item offered and know what the item is worth.

The only deals you'll find are going to be used firearms.  99% of the new stuff is listed by dealers who want their regular instore price.  Unfortunately, GB charges only after an auction is won, so these guys can keep listing their stuff for free and seeing if anyone bites.  If GB charges fees like Ebay, %95 of the retail pricing ads would disappear.
