How bout you rig up a nampabanner.com banner?

+1  a little too wide.  Even on a wide screen monitor, had to scroll side to side.

Pricing information should be in the about us section, not the contact us.

Pages

1.  Home, general information and some cool pics and the video
2.  About us, more specific information such as time in business, location etc.
3.  pricing chart of prices for what services/durations and a sub section for specials.
4.  contact us, map to location, mailing address and phone numbers and link to e-mail.

IMHO.....

ETA:  Great first try.  How about putting a little image of a plane towing a banner on the website banner.  Cut a couple of seconds off the beginning of the video too long a lead time before you can really see anything.  I say start it when the plane can be clearly identified and put it on a loop so it replays.

It is already built but I have not had time to tow it. Today I tryed to sway a school bond vote. If it fails I will be in high cotton (if my house doesn't get firebombed by the NEA).

one thing...

when you click on a button it turns gold and the text is blue. very hard to see the text at that point. change the font color to white when the button is gold...

very good for a first website

Was that you flying over downtown Boise last Saturday for BSU homecoming? Nice site...but the counter needs to go IMO. Also, on the Contact Us page I got prompted for some sort of plugin that my browser couldn't identify (Firefox).  That's a big no-no in my book. Other than Flash, I find the need to install plug-ins a turn-off.

Congrats to you and your wife on the biz.

the activex / windows media thing on the contact us page only works in internet explorer, that has to go, also makes the page load slow.
lose the cheesey counter. if you want stats look at the raw log files.
Other than that, its good, I have a wide screen dell so the width thing is not an issue for me. I didn't need to scroll.

I was flying traffic watch over the stadium and had to refer that banner to my competitor from LaGrande Oregon. The guy is terrible on the aircraft radio though and doesn't know the city very well. Channel 7 was paying to advertise a rerun of a game starting at 10:30PM to people who were watching it in person on a cable channel that only a third of them have (cable has a 30% market share). I don't know what they were thinking.

Things that hit me:
- Too wide
- Too much blue
- Counter Needs to Go
- Pic of plane needs to be cropped to remove all of the junk on the ground
- On this picture:

Crop it down to the banner, the plan is missing and everything else in it takes away from the banner

Under Calender also:
-

We received our
banner towing
waiver from the
local FAA office!

I think that is a given. It shows that you are new (6-29). You may not be, but I wouldn't give that away unless you base your ads on it.

- The underlined things usually mean that they are hyperlinks, make them bold or another color.

Other:
- Need to make company name bigger. Some titles are the same or a larger font than the banner
- Most people want to be able to copy text, but you can without going through a lot of work.
- On the last page on the bottom, you linked two pictures together:

- The button's colors are bad when clicked
- The plug-in problem in Firefox
- Oh, the awards are hard to read
- On Contact Us, don't put the name in all caps

Those are things that stuck out at me, good luck and congrats!!!

The problem with photos of the aircraft and banner are that the tow line is about 250 feet long total. It is hard to get a picture of the whole thing and then blow it up. We are trying to adjust the angle we shoot the rig so the perceived distance between aircraft and banner is shorter.

Im running 1280x1024 and it is definately too wide....

-Keep it at 1024 wide, Thats about what people are using now.
-I personally like the color scheme
-I would use a program such as photoshop to brighten up the pics of your certificates, and try to filter out the flash reflection
-Instead of having the pics and movie in the contact us section, I would create a gallery section.
-get rid of the counter  too

All in all,  a fantastic first try..  alot better than the first one I did.

A good rule to follow.. at least one that works for me is .. plan all pages for a resolution of 1024x768.  Images or main "containers" on a website should be no bigger than 1000-1004 pixles wide.

Works for me...

Actually, the picture is all the same, however, when I take the picture, the banner is flying approx. 250 feet behind the plane. SO in order to see the banner on the web I have to crop it back together so the plane and banner are closer together. Thanks .

I really like the blue and the layout very much.  She might want to tone down the blue even a bit more on the right as it is very blue but still over all I like it.

The picture of the plane should be made smaller.  Personally most of my pictures are 320 pixels wide and 480 is the widest I typically go.  I would recommend 480 here.  This would make the site not so wide.

I too couldn't see the lower award because it was too dark.  Two last nit picky items but the top navigation should have a link to the home page on all your pages and the buttom used to show which page your on is pretty dark and difficult to read.  Not a huge thing though.

Over all a good job, congratulations!

Patty
PS Your wife should also enbed some meta tags into the source so that the search engines pick it up quicker.  She's more than welcome to email me or IM me for help.  I know there are others here as well [daydreamer just off the top of my head].

It's a good start. Better then many.

I would lose the counter, it's cool to see the numbers go up but it does nothing for the site itself.

Make it less wide, many people don't have large monitors with high resolution displays.

Color combinations are tough. The blue looks good to me. Perhaps less variations of it would be improve the look.

Some more content is a must, I was left wanting to read more about your banner towing service.

You have the essential keywords in your meta tag which will help the search engines with your site.

1 thumb up, a great start, just needs some tweaking.

Buy a better camera.

A professional business site should look professional. The currnt site looks like it is thrown together, things placed 'where ever they can fit'.

Make a different page for the awards and citations etc...Needs to be organized.

Drop the hard colors.

Good luck on the business, stay safe up there.
