I posted a couple of questions about some specific models last week, but I'd like to get some opionions  without leading to any particular type or model.  This TV would be used for gaming, DVDs, and some TV.  I will consider any type, although at this price level, it's pretty much CRT only.  I don't really mind the size and bulk of CRTs.  I'd be willing to go a bit above $1000 if there is something dramatically better than the sub $1000 dollar sets.  What would you get?
