I have read all but the last one. Very entertaining.

I must admit frustration that king didn't include a rifle in the series - a perfect place for it would have been when they were fighting the robots that were stealing the children. I would have loved for one of the characters to have to go back to New York City in the 80s, and take an M1 Garand that had, through it's rough and storied history, killed many Nazis and Communists, and had gained a magical power once taken back to Roland's world.

BTW, where in the hell did they get their ammo? King was notoriously short on detail there, suffering the writer's typical loss of accuracy WRT firearms.

With out getting into it and spoiling it for other readers, I just have to say  I hated the ending. But a good overall read. I can still remember lying in my hammock in my backyard and being in a state of shock after finishing it.

Notice how fast and accurate the gunslingers are with pistols. They don't really need a rifle.

The ammo came from one of Roland's journeys into New York.

Definetly my favorite book series of all times.

Roland needs no rifle, he is trained on the 6 shooter, and thats just the way it is.

Yes, most of the ammo came from The Drawing of the Three(Jack Mort before he jumped in front of the train)
