+1 on great book!
Haven't ever seen the movie. Only get CBS on the tube. Still haven't seen it. Grocery store had it last spring in a special display/purchase. But by the time payday rolled around they'd taken the display down. |

A pretty good submarine movie with Clark Gable & Burt Lancaster starring. It is in the same league with Das Boot and Crimson Tide, just much older.

Both great movies-good suspenseful, wartime drama. Men against men, the hunter and the hunted. Two thumbs up! |

Both are great. The Book is better though.

Great movie, especially for its time.
Still, the conflict between Gable and Lancaster always struck me as a bit overdone. |
