require you to give them access to the 4493's or bound book? Other than the BATFE of course...

My partner and I have a pawnshop here in NE Georgia and haven't had a problem yet, but where do we stand if some local deputy for instance wants to examine these records?

Georgia law says that any POST certified officer can examine the pawn records and the pawned merchandise, but that's all they can look at as far as I know.

Gonna try this in the legal section..........

I am a FFL and I am not really sure about that. The 4473's are a Federal Document. I would call the BATF and ask them for sure.  I am sure you will get 3 diffirent answers...LOL. I know that if LE need to do a criminal firearm  trace you are required to respond ASAP. I would guess that outside that you Local or State LE would need a warrant. Call the BATF for sure.
