Man, Biden has swung much further to left in the past 6 years or so.  He used to be a bit more centrist.  Kennedy, Feinstein, Shumer....no surprises there.

Judicial nominations are not like bills. They cannot be killed by a committee vote. The Judiciary committee only makes a recommendation to the entire Senate.

Robert Bork's nomination was rejected by the Judiciary on the 9-5 vote, yet he still got a vote by the entire Senate.
