Mercy.

When I was a kid all we did was play cowboys and indians with our toy guns. Now kids are making functional automatically aiming and firing weapons.

That is scary as hell!

In high school we made 5ft tall guided rockets. we could program how high we wanted them to go. afterwards we could download all of telematry of the onboard computers. We all of the electronics, rockets and programed the computers. We had to get FAA clearince to even lunch them.

scary as hell? i'd say encouraging and sad as hell.

just imagine if we were actually allowed to tinker with weapons in our garages still. one of them could have been the next John M. Browning.

I always wondered if making something like that was possible...

These kids showed its possible to make a system out of shit you can probably get from rat shack. With military resources, they could whip a real working one up fast I bet. Probably with some type of ability to ID friend or foe.

Pretty nifty.

Wonder what happens if you put the target in contrasting camo... smoke... rain...

Too bad. ATF considers any electrically actuated trigger mechanism a machine gun. So, even if you made it a semi, it's contraband.

Years ago, some persons in Africa made remote traverse and elevation guns mounted outside of armored vehicles to prevent ambush. I think they used an UZI at the time.

There was developement of a window turret to mount to the front windscreen to shoot an MP5 as well.

My favorite is still the South African flame thrower mounted under vehicles to prevent car jackings...

So what you're saying is that the sentry flamethrower would get around this restriction?

Pretty cool stuff, I wish I understood what was done and make one myself.    Mate this up to one of those russian bb MGs.     A little perimeter security for the campsite

I'm not an airsoft fan but I admire their ingenuity!

BTW, I saw that south africian anti-catjacker flame thrower. American cars should have those as an option. Hell, they're only lethal is you continue to stand in the fire.
