Thanks for the assist.

How do you change the default media player.  There was a time when I knew how to do this, but I can't seem to figure it out at the moment.

I am trying to play audio files, and this damn dell just keeps launching musicmatch.  I just want to change it to windows media player.

Hit F1

Search for "file associations"

Follow the directions based on the extension of the media file you want to change the player for.


This will work for any windows from 95 to 2003 data center.

open windows media player go to tools.... then options.  Then click filetype check what you want it do default to
