I am preparing a bid for a commercial property and I have zero experience at this stuff.  My best guess is there will be at least 8 acres, possibly 12 that will need to be cut.  It has a couple of steep sections as well.

I am obviously looking at commercial grade ZTR mowers and I think I have narrowed it down to either a Scag Turf Tiger, 61"deck, 29 hp lc Kawasaki engine, or the Kubota ZD25F with 60" deck and 25 hp 3 cyl. diesel engine.

I am not sure exactly which way to go.  I think the scag would be cheaper to maintain being that it is a simpler machine.  I have a Kubota B21 backhoe that I like quit a bit (has the same engine as the ZD25F).  The Kubota diesel engines are great.  The Kubota is about $1500 more than the Scag.

Thoughts?

Thanks all,
