Bill O' Reilly on his radio show today said "I am going to purchase a firearm" He continued with, the "second ammendment debate is out the door the founding fathers were wise and new what they were doing when they included an armed ciizenship in the bill of Rights".

O' Reilly continued; After the way the local and federal forces failed to protect the people in the Katrina disaster, it was clear it was up to "individual Citizens" to protect themselves and others needing help.

Bill also said if a disaster happened near his home. It was clear to him he would have to depend on himself to defend himself and his family as shown by the lawlessness in New Orleans and the failure of local,state and federal law inforcement to control the situation.

If you listen to Bill O' Reilly you know he has been on the liberal side when it came to the Second Ammendment.

It seems it took Katrina and what happened in front of the world to clear his vision as to the wisdom of the framers of the Constitution and how it is not a living document as if appies to any century.

I wish more could see it so clearly and stop dis-arming the citizens who need firarms for thier protection.

I would tell him that it's people like him that end up killing a family member/letting a kid get a gun/not keeping it loaded and dieing anyway

It's people like him that the 2nd if for. People like him, you, and me. Is he's not "tactical" enough for you? You must have thought, "Hmm, I think I want a firearm. Guess I'll need to go to Gunsite and get trained first." Every gun sold to a law abiding citizen is a step in the right direction.

If Bill said that... GOOD FOR HIM! MANY more need to fall in line. It's a fact that "the framers" intended for the citizens of the US to possess and control their own firearms for the greater good. So praise the lord and pass the ammunition!

But he said it.

I do not care for him most of the time (I look out for myself) because of his enviromental and second ammendment views.

That is why I posted it as It caught my attention while I was listening to his radio show today.

I do not block out people I do not agree with and like his stirring up the sh#t on TV and radio.

Libertarian? Is that why he was asking oil companies to voluntarily give up 20% of their profits in order to lower gas prices? As long as the oil companies aren't working together to fix prices, the free market will work out the cost of gas just fine.

While his recommendation to ask people to reduce their energy consumption by 10% is good, his "No Gas on Sundays" plan is incredibly stupid.

I'd bet that "assault" weapon turns into a Multi-round ammunition platform on his show and that he gets one if he can. [where in the hell does he live?] That single shot huntin rifle might work good against deer but if the SHTF I know of very few people who would take one over a semi-auto. I want to see him buy a Barrett semi 50 cal myself.

I would bet a lot of antis who went to NO will be buying a gun when they get back home. We won't hear about it but it's a hell of a wakeup call to see psychotic looters destroying a city. Also antis sometimes turn into our best allies when the blinds are thrown aside. It's much harder for the pole sitters to ignore someone who used to espouse their side when they change position then it is to ignore us who are already there.
