...and tell me if this is a good deal
 Egyptian(?) 7mm Mauser (7x57?), scoped, looks like someone's baby (excellent bore, wood, etc) (cheap scope - Tasco, but good mounting job w/rails) they are trying to get rid of for ~$100. Is this a good buy? I currently have no scoped piece. |

IIRC the 7mm mausers were mostly South American. I used to have one (a Chilian that I sporterized), sorry I sold it now. They shoot very nicely, but new production ammo is fairly pricey (about $1 round in the 1980s) and I haven't seen surplus ammo for them in years. If you like Mausers I'd suggest sticking with an 8mm mauser, unless you're into collecting. |

Kinda pricey, but if you get it let me know through IM, I have a couple of boxes ofactory ammo, plus some brass and RCBS reloading dies if you would be interested in them. I use to have a 7x57 sold it during a bout of stupidity,  now they are hard to come by. Shoot me a IM if you want to work out something on the ammo and dies, I have no use for them. |
