NEWSFLASH: OHIO HIGH SCHOOL OFFICIALS STATE THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT CAUSES TEEN PREGNANCY!  Umm.... maybe... just maybe... teen pregnancies come from... TEENAGERS HAVING SEX!?   |

Yeah, but probably only a small fraction of those are REALLY pregnant. The majority are probably just a LITTLE pregnant.

I was told that St. Mary's HS which is about 45 minutes south of me has over 30 girls pregnant currently.
It's a farm school and is very very white. Gotta love the Ohio womenz.

I graduated in 1980. There wasn't a single girl in my class who was known to be pregnant. My class was under 100, but some where over 80.
 I'd like to know why it's all ok now? In the end times people will behave worse & worse, they will become lovers of themselves, & invent new ways of doing evil. ITEOTWA"I"KI.

When I went to High School almost every kid I knew that was capable of being sexual active was sexually active. I only knew one girl who got pregnant. Now I do notice that pregnancy is a LOT more common today than it was 20 years ago. I can't imagine that kids are somehow having MORE sex than we did. But they sure as hell are getting pregnant more often. And we had sex ed back then too so I don't think that is the reason for increased pregnancy. |

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Not THAT!!!!!  ANYTHING but THAT!!! School officials can teach them all about oral sex, anal sex, pass out condoms, print flyers and booklets with "safe-sex" pictures and instructions and even provide birth-control pills and brochures from Planned Parenthood... but to even SUGGEST that kids go to church is a violation of their constitutional rights and an abomination of Church/State separation, dontchaknow? |

When I was little, I had a conversation with the priest at church, me: my uncle and aunt only have 2 kids and there are 7 of us in my family, when it comes time to marry, can I choose how many kids I want? priest: no, God will determine how many kids you may have. me: are you sure Father? priest: yes son, now go to the confessional box me: why, I didn't do anything

when I graduated in 88' from norman high, there were 8 girls that were pregnant or had had children ( out of a class of 400 or so), one had had three by that time, by 95' there were so many that norman public school system instituted a program ( small steps ) to provide childcare so that the school girls could continue to go to school and graduate, it was located off campus, across the street from the high school, since that time it has been expanded several times to make accomadations, its a hell of a thing for the school system to have to deal with since the towns population is around 95k, and every year the girls are getting younger and younger, some are just in the 7th grade.

I've noticed quite a number of people my age(22) that simply won't use a condom now. They think that simply because the chick says she is on BC its A-ok. Makes me cringe and double up whenever I'm about to go where all men have gone before. |

That is a valid theory. I was having sex but I was constanty worried about getting someone pregnant and most of my friends were the same way. I've talked to some kids today who seem to think they will just be "lucky" and it won't happen to them. |

I was being sarcastic They need to teach those nimrods to use rubbers. Hell I went out with girls in HS whose parents put 'em on the pill (this was pre-aids days).I went to church plenty in High School, trust me I spent the whole time in mass mesmerized by those knee high socks, saddle shoes and plaid dresses, love those catholic school girls
