Then don't hang out with him.

Problem solved.

I've seen my brother once in the last 13 years (and then only to make my parents happy)

+1

My sister is the screaming liberal of the family.

ETA: I still love her to death, though, even if she is dumb as a rock politically. Otherwise she's quite bright, actually.

Should have read your brother contract more carefully. This is normal.

My brother and I are headed in the same direction unfortunately. Since he tried as hard as he could to fuck up my wedding I rarely see him anymore, maybe once every 8 months. His vegetarian, hippy liberal wife does not help the situation one bit either. She is currently pregnant with my very first nephew/niece and I doubt I'll get to know the kid very well, if at all.

I have 2 sisters right now.  Even when they aren't trying to piss you off, they are pissing you off.  Be happy with a brother.

Tell me about it:

- I got one sister that ran away and joined a cult/commune.  +30 years later, she's still feeling the effect.
- One brother that was in a pysch ward in NC last I heard.
- A sister who's ultra religious.
- A brother who's nuts
- A half sister who's ultra liberal professional student type
- Half brother that thinks he's gonna save the world i.e. an environazi.

Except for my older sister (the first one) I don't see or talk to any of them.

My brother and I actually get along better now that he's married and we don't live in the same house like we did when we were younger. We do still fight and piss each other off once in a while, but those times are less frequent now and last shorter.

I have some cousins that I have essentially disowned due to their megalomania and disrespect they show(ed) our grandmother. That's the closest to immediate family it's gotten though and hopefully it will stay that way.

he must be your older brother, huh? I mess with my little brother all the time and he bitches and complains about it. But when everything is all said and done he knows I am just messing with him as is probably the case with you and your brother. If you don't freak out about it he will probably stop, as picking on your brother loses it's appeal if he doesn't care.

We usually end up in a fight.  Sometime a fist fight.  So I know how you feel.

I'd love to cover your family reunion for ARFCOM.

Ever since the SEC got sick, I haven't had much to write about.

How old are the two of you?

My brother and I would have gladly spilled blood all through our younger years - including into and after high school.  After living on my own for a number of years and getting through our respecting schoolings, we got a long much better, and now share a house together.

Relax, take a breath and don't let yourself be taken advantage of and eventually you'll both respect one another enough to be friends.

Back off of him.  Dont let him get to you like this, he feeds off of it.  If you could only see him when you walk away or get off of the phone with him, he's smiling.  Dont give him the satisfaction.

Give it a few years, then you'll be callin him to go hang and sappy ghey crap like that.
