Anyone ever heard these guys
The Negro Problem Matthew ETA: Edited to please the "it must be racist" crowd in general and MrsG in particular. |
c'mon, it's just a name on an album.
Haven't found any samples yet but I'll check it out later. |
I must not have had enough beer tonight.........none of their website material made sense to me no, I don't think I have ever heard of them.......... |
Least it didn't say the knee grow problem.
Or the stupid f%**%g N*$&%^R problem |
Edit: IBTL. Thread seems like controversy bait a bit. Is it musical theater? That site baffles me.
Why would it be locked? Is negro not an acceptable term? They sure as shit arent African Americans, unless they've just moved over here.
Sure did. The title is good enough to get it a lock around here. |
Why would we....if someone posts something like this with that title, it is only to get a negative reaction. If it is something that has legitimate discussion value......change the title and link moniker and take the racial overtones out. Then discuss how you feel abut the subject. |
If a thread title is all it takes to scare you away, Jesus, grow up. |
Thread title probably bothers very few. Doesn't bother me a bit. However, what bothers me has absolutely no bearing on what gets locked. I know about getting topics locked. That's why I say IBTL. |
What part of my reply states "I'm scared"? I said why should we look.....if it was desinged only to provoke a negative response? You know damned well that was the intention.......don't be an ass. |
Sorry. Next time I'll ask about "The N-Word Problem". Speaking of the "N-word Problem", has anyone heard them live? Matthew |
Jeez guys, it's the name of a band.
The only thing that's going to get this thread locked by me is if you keep "IBTL"ing. So stop. |
How about something like. "Has anyone heard the band 'The Negro Problem' live?" That has alot different sound to it that a title "The Negro Problem" If you can't see that, you should spend more time in the real world instead of cyberspace. |
True... how's about changing the topic title? |
if MrsGloftoe ask me to jump off a bridge off a bridge, i would. her avatar scares the crap out fo me! |

I got a compilation album called "Delphonic Sounds Today" pretty good 1960's surf-scene music... all redone by some current bands.
The Negro Problem does a song on there called "The Magic Touch", my wife likes it but my favorite is the remake of "The World's Greatest Sinner" by The Dekes Of Hazzard. I wonder what the reaction would be around here if someone mentioned the band name "The Revolting Cocks"? I actually like their cover of Rod Stewarts' "Do You Think I'm Sexy?" There are some worse band names out there... I mean, does anybody remember what the band name "NWA" actually stood for as an acronym? |
Whats all this "IBTL" stuff?
ah well screw it i'll just run with the croud........ IBTL ..... i feel so dirty ..... |
and well it should... oh, and ibtl |

Being a "Negro" member here I noticed this topic quite quickly.
My opinion would be to change the wording of the topic as previously suggested. However, once I actually read the message I slowly started to unload my AR and unchamber the first round. It could be taken as negative from the original poster but maybe not so much so if he would have placed "Has anyone heard the band" before the Negro Problem. I have seen much worse racist remarks on this site and others. But whats the point of getting mad. I actually laugh at some of the stuff that is said about blacks on the internet. To me as long as no one says these things to my face there is no need for me to go postal. take it from me. A black man who lives in a small small country town in West VA. |
WHATS WITH ALL THE IBTL???? NEGRO IS NOT A RACIST OR DEROGITORY WORD. WTF ARE YOU GUYS THAT CONDITIOIND TO PC THAT YOU THINK ANYTHING OTHER THAN AFRICAN AMERICAN IS OK???
NEGRO CAUCASIAN GET USED TO IT |

Tic...tic...tic...tic...tic...tic...
