Are those guys really dead? What kind of round was used, an explosive or 30mm? If it was a 30mm, would it kill someone if it didn't hit them?

If it's a Cobra then the round was probably a 20mm.

When a rounds hits the ground, it takes rocks and dirt with it, that stuff gets moving pretty darn fast, Kill them? Who knows...But it sure did screw them up. Seen guys get it pretty good in Somalia when bullets hit a wall near them. Scrapes, entrance wounds, etc.
Thats why grazing fire is so effective from a 249 or similar when the bad guys are running. Besides they were in the open, I am sure another pass would have taken care of them. |

If you go through frame-by-frame, there's some sort of a video flare on the #1 guy. Rounds impact ahead and past the runners, then get adjusted. There's a very brief flare on the lead guy that doesn't kick up any dust. He goes to ground and the rounds walk between the lead two and into #3.
