It has a purdy wood stock...

With a folding stock it could be evil

But where do you find 2.3" shells for it?

Oh come on man....it fires those "cute little short 12ga shells"...its the "perfect defense shotgun".

Oh and its EXTREMELY HOMOSEXUAL.....

Man, if it were any cheaper I'd think about gettting it.

And then show up at the Wed. night trap shoot.

Does it take standard shells or only the Aguila mini shells?

Oh, I thought it worked like a semi-auto handgun.

http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/sh20-e.htm

Mag-7 shotgun uses 5-rnd detachable magazines and a proprietary 12-gauge shotgun shell to fit inside the grip. I dunno if the Aquilla minishells would work in it. I would think so.

Just buy the gun, pay the $200 tax stamp, whack off the barrel, and either remove the stock entirely or replace it with a top-folder the way God intended. There ya go, mil-spec Mag-7: the only shotgun besides the Serbu Super-Shorty that you can fit in your trench coat to scare all the soccer moms.

Thats what I was thinking. Even a barrel shroud and keep it 18" would be cool.

That ugly stock is killing the look of it.

They had to do that for the civilian market in order to appease the ATF.

Now if only we could get Neostead shotguns imported too...

I just found this

South Africa's Techno Arms introduced the MAG 7M1 in early 2002 to much amusement, although intended to be a serious design it was intially viewed with much disbelief. Inspired by the Israeli Uzi the MAG 7M! is a pump action shotgun which is drastically reduced in size compared to conventional designs, indeed it appears more to be a sub-machinegun than a shotgun.  It fires the Mexican Aguila 12 Gauge mini-shell's from a 5 round box magazine which feeds from the pistol grip of the weapon, a folding stock comes standard with the weapon though many Shadowhunters prefer the weapon without such entanglements.

This one, Maybe...

But the civillian version is a turd.

And no, Aguilla "short" shells don't work well in it(I've played with one).

I think I may give one a try. Only $300, if nothing else I can sell it later.

Or in 870's . . . it was nice getting 12 shots in an ext. mag tube but they would jam most of the time.

So if the minishells don't work reliably, where do you find ammo for a Mag-7 then?

That thing has been around longer than 2002. I remember reading about it in a gun rag, and I haven't read one of them since the late 90s.

I could swear they had a review of that thing in the now-defunct American Survival Guide.

The Mag-7 has been around longer than 2001. I think it was imported in the late 90's.

I still want a Neostead shotgun though.
