I am still trying to figure out why exactly someone decided to start making triangular shaped cartridges (or "trounds"). Can anybody help me?

I see no reason for production, this and the gyrojet are just some of the many interesting failed ideas in firearms.

IIRC, the casing is made of plastic and otherwise uses standard components.  So I’d think they’d be pretty easy to make.

Lack of demand is another issue!

Don’t know if any were actually made, but they also designed a triangular plastic adapter that would accept a standard round and allow it to be used in the pistol (revolver?).
