Need some ideas to take the little lady.  Bahamas, Concoun, Cozemel, Turks and Caicos, etc.

Looking for a 3 or 4 day getaway, reasonably priced (Caravan Pilot, not 747 pilot, so budget is a consideration), but someplace cool.

Your ideas?  Thanks.

Take her to the British Virgin Islands..

Bahamas- nasty, prices suck, lack of places to go have fun. shopping is Ok, but once you see it thats it.
Mexico- is Ok...I have outgrown the need to drink in order to have fun phase of my life...therefor I find places with cheap liquor unappealing at this point in time. Shopping is nice...but how much crap can you buy in Mexico that you can't find in an airport store in Houston?
BVI's - Prices are good currently, resorts are excellent, shopping is better than previous two locations and the locals are much nicer.

Jamaica is another option but once more its resort style, outside of the gates its a wholo other world.

Your best bet is an all inclusive..that way you can relax and not have to watch $$ you just have fun and take her in to town a few times. If it's truly your honeymoon, you should only care about 3 things.
Comfortable beds.......CLEAN WATER.....COLD AIR CONDITIONING

Have fun...god I loved my honeymoon.(Atlantis, Bahamas)

Cozumel is supposed to be really good, and reasonably priced.

Of course, if you have the money go to Hawaii.

Mrs. HH and I spent a week in South Tahoe, stayed in a condo up in the mountains and had a great time.

Pretties place in the U.S. imo.

Was also thinking about the Reno area.  The new Mrs. Vmax really enjoys the outdoors, water, mountains, etc.

I have mentioned the backseat of the 4Runner, but she didn't seem to like that.

So, I'm committed to taking us someplace nice that she will enjoy.

Gotta run for now.  Thanks for the help.

yup...if you want Hawaii at a fraction of the price.....go either Cozumel or Puerto Vallarta........Cancun is WAY overprice, over-rated and tourist oriented.  its like Disney Mexico w/ Robert Downy Jr. as Mickey.  i PERSONALLY would look into Puerto Vallarta......

Cozumel.  San Miguel is the city, it's pretty tourist-y.  The seaward side of the island is really nice, though.  There is a bar at the end of Middle Island Road that is heaven on Earth, in my opinion.

It's a shack.  Fly strips everywhere, and a giant cooler (think Coleman) full of ice and beer.  Some hammocks on the beach.  Just awesome.  I would have stayed there for days if the wife hadn't been along.

I've been to all the places you mentioned in your post, by far the best one is Turks & Caicos. Absolutely beautiful beaches. I highly recommend it.

i submit romania.  the country is so starved for tourism (and hard currency) that i've spoken with several couples who had a wonderful time on about $50/day.  hell, one of my barbacks bought a plane ticket spent a week there.  i think he spent a total of $600, including the flight.

some of the most beautiful mountains in the world, to go along with fairly modern cities and accomodations.

you might also consider prague.

Skip the Caribbean and Mexico.

Go to the South Pacific...Moorea or Bora Bora.

Tahiti is nice too but not as quiet.

I went to Moorea for my honeymoon.
