Britain stops the talk and starts to walk the walk!
 ANdy Britain to deport ten foreign nationals 11/08/2005 Charles Clarke has announced that ten foreign nationals he believes "pose a threat to national security" will be deported from the country. The home secretary has the power to deport individuals whose presence in Britain "is not conducive to the public good for reasons of national security" under the Immigration Act 1971. Earlier attempts to deport radical preachers or those inciting hatred or terrorism were held up by the Human Rights Act, which does not allow Britain to deport people to countries where they may be subject to torture. But Mr Clarke has now suggested that he has received assurances from the countries where the ten as yet unnamed foreign nationals will be sent to, that they will all be treated well. "In accordance with my powers to deport individuals whose presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good for reasons of national security, the Immigration service has today detained ten foreign nationals who I believe pose a threat to national security," he said. He added: "Following months of diplomatic work we now have good reason to believe that we can get the necessary assurances from the countries to which we will return the deportees so that they will not be subject to torture or ill-treatment. "The Immigration Act 1971 gives me powers to deport individuals, and to detain them pending deportation. The circumstances of our national security have changed, it is vital that we act against those who threaten it." Last week prime minister Tony Blair announced that Britain would no longer accept people who took advantage of the country's tolerance to incite violence or hatred. "Under existing grounds we are today signally a new approach to deportation orders. Not to be an ass or anything, but let me know when they deport 10,000, or we deport 10,000, for that matter....then I'll think steps are being taken.
Ten deportee's is a token gesture at best. |

After they've kicked out the biggest POS's the rest should realise they can be sent back to one of the 'islamic utopias' and behave just fine.
After all, Jordan has said it won't, probably maybe, execute anyone we send back there. ANdy

Wouldn't you guys be better off killing the people that are a threat to national security rather than giving them a ticket through the chunnel?
I'm not trying to single out the Limey's we do it too. How many Club Gitmo vacationers have returned for a second stay? Too many. ETA: or are they being deported to a place that would love to have them (ie. incarceration opon arrival) |

Nope, they do not go out on there own steam, they will be sent back to were they came from. And most of them come from Algeria and a few from Jordan. Both those countries have a big beef with them, especially Algeria. I would not be happy to spend time a a 'guest' of ALgerian State Security. Andy |

Yeah, it seems pretty kick ass that they are deporting a few, but in reality it doesn't amount to shit. It's like Arizona deporting 7 filthy Illegal Aliens and not worrying about the other 500,000 that are illegally here. |

No, they will NOT be going to a place of their choosing. They will be sent back to their countries of origin, countries were some of them have outstanding warrant for their arrest and countries were they have the death sentance. ANdy |
