This is a really hard one for me.
I think I have to go with Hotel California. What about you guys? |
Alice In Chains - Don't Follow
Close Second: AC/DC - Heatseeker Close Third: AC/DC - Who Made Who (I love the second half of the first verse where the lead guitar kicks in) |
too many to list AC/DC,Black Sabbath and some Motor Head works just fine then theres quiet time for some Floyd
The Rover - Led Zeppelin/Physical Graffiti
or We Gotta Get Out of This Place - Eric Burden |
Right now it's Marshall Tucker Band - Can't you see.
It changes just about every week. |
"Kashmir" and "No Quarter" would be on up there for me. (Led Zep for the young'uns here)
I'm a "young'un" but I love Led Zeppelin (and Pink Floyd, and The Eagles, etc.). But Pink Floyd is my favorite. Thanks to brasspile for that one. |
music = blue sky by allman brothers band, I listen to those solos over and over again and never get tired of them
lyrics I like pink floyd "time" |
There are a bunch (Blue Sky has been mentioned), I'll go with "Lunatic Fringe" by Red Ryder for now...

I can't narrow it down to any one group or song, so let's just say something by The Animals, The Grass Roots, or CCR.
That song is SOOOOOOOOOOOO tired! What's your second favorite? Sweet Home Alabama? [Edited] Oh, Sniper Wolfe. You're a teenager, it isn't as agonizingly hackneyed to you as it is to old people. |
I'm not sure what my second favorite is, but it would be something from this list (in no particular order): Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child Don McClean - American Pie Janis Joplin - Me And Bobby McGee Johnny Cash - When The Man Comes Around Led Zeppelin - Ramble On Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven (I'm sure you'd put this in the 'tired' category) Led Zeppelin - The Battle of Evermore Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird Pink Floyd - Hey You (If I HAD to pick one, this would probably be it) Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here (I'd also assume you'd say this is 'tired') The Eagles - Take It Easy |

How odd, mine's "Heard it in a Love Song"..... |
I hate to destroy something beautiful for you but......you DO KNOW that "In Your Honor" is dedicated to John Kerry...right???? Please forgive me.....I don't like doing that...but I thought you should know..... |
I can't believe no one has mentioned "Rock of Ages," "Like a Rock" or "Rock City."
Like a rock Being slung around in a can Like a rock--loose in the oil pan Oo-oo Like a rock! |
Pearl Jam "Animal" tied with Jimi Hendrix "Voodoo Chile Slight Return"
... and then a few hundred other great tunes follow close behind... |
That's exactly what I was thinking too. I'll never even listen to either one of those songs ever again because they are so worn out, the Eagles make me sick. |

Toss up between a couple of em
"Won't get fooled Again" - The Who "Hotel California" - The Eagles "One Way Out" - Allman Brothers "Whole Lotta Love" - Led Zeppelin "I'm Losing You" - Rare Earth (their version of this motown classic) "Gloria" - Van THE MAN Morrison "Sympathy for the Devil" - The Stones "A Day in the Life " - The Beatles "Living in the U.S.A." - Steve Miller |
You're kidding right? Hopefully you're not talking about the live version that's like 87 minutes long. Hotel California, Sweet Home Alabama and Freebird all make me physically sick. |
I can't narrow it down to one, but anything by Ozzy is #1 on the list. The song that makes me want to drive too fast is Jimi Hendrix "VooDoo Chile". Stevie Ray Vaughn's version of that kicks ass also.
Alice In Chains- "Rooster" and "Would" kicks major ass Led Zepplin- anything I could go on an on... |
What song is it you want to hear.....? Play it pretty for Atlanta! |
The first that came to minde was Back in the Saddle(?) by Aerosminth. I'm BAAAAAAAAAACCK!.
Sympathy for the Devil is a lasting favorite as well. |
#1 is Fade to Black by Metallica
I like pretty much all of Metallica's music, although St. Anger(Not just the song the entire CD) Can't compare with any of their older stuff Its still better than any of this "Punk" Other mettallica songs: Dyers Eve, One, Sanatarium, Fight Fire with Fire, Ride the lightning From Ozzy/Black Sabbath: Crazy train, NIB, Snowblind, Iron man, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Led Zeppelin: Stairway to Heaven, Heartbreaker I can lisen to Punk but I stick to pretty much any rock/metal |
Don't worry about 89grand, Beetle... a Southern man don't need him around, anyhow. |

or Boston - Foreplay or More Than a Feeling |
This thread needs more cowbell!
Aside from that I like Sweet Child Of Mine-GNR Stairway to Heaven 2 Minutes to Midnight-Iron Maiden Worth Fighting For-Judas Priest. There's a whole lot more-the stuff I listed is just stuff I like right now. |
+1 on fade to black with Seek and destroy a near second. I really like to old Iron Maiden and Judas Preist stuff as well. Those tuens just kick ass! CH |
I love a lot of the songs that are posted here. Especially those by Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, etc.
My favorite, though is "Little Wing" by Hendrix. There's just something about that song. I love the instrumental version by SRV, too. Sting did a cover that's not too bad in a laid back sort of way. |
Oh well.... It's a good song, I've always like the Foo Fighters. The song rocks. ~Dg84 |

Rock and Roll or Classic rock or Alternitive rock or somthing else? If classic rock then Paperback Writer by the Beatles. Otherwise 2112.
