When did you last go shooting?

For me this week I was pretty good. I test fired a Broomhandle Mauser I had rebuilt on Wednesday and I am going to shoot it againt his weekend along with some of my other curio guns.

But sometimes I go weeks w/o shooting, especially in the winter.

Cleaned my Ruger Mk II last night and put 8 rounds out the back door just to make sure I had reassembled it right.

(plus, bonus points, I bought a rifle and 200 rounds of ammo on my lunch hour today).

More than a month but less than a quarter for me.

I need to get out more...

Sadly, its been a year since I've been shooting in the go out and have fun sense.  Went to the range for a bit for LTC stuff, but it wasn't the same.

God I hate this state.

I am impressed with how high the weekly rate is. I really feel bad for those who just don't have good ranges nearby. One more way the liberals beat us, shut down the places to shoot.

In Colorado, we have the National Forest, but because of new housing and slob shooters who leave trash, more of  these ranges are getting shut down.

Was out yesterday.  Got 22 rounds offhand practice at 200 and 22 of prone at 600 with the Model 70, and two sets of rapid fire (20 rounds) at 300 with the AR.

Back on Sunday for a HP match.  Will probably use the Model 70.

Keeping a .22 in the truck, working on a ranch, and having a plethora of sage rats (chiselers, ground squirrels, etc,) around....I shoot a minimum of 30-50 rounds daily.  Not anything special, but great for maintaining the fundamentals of marksmanship.

It's been a week and a half. I really need to pick up some real targets to more precisely zero in my sights/scope. I just shoot on my own propery and I don't do the range thing very often. I'm very glad that I don't live in a metro are.

Every week.  If I am teaching, then it's everyday.

But normally, it's every week.  250 through the pistol, 250 through the rifle, just to keep the skills sharp.

Thank God for reloading.

On "just for fun days" when I am hanging out with the shooting pals, I have been known to go through 2k rounds or so.

I'm another lucky SOB with a range in the backyard.  I shoot pretty much daily....lots of fun, but restocking my ammo is running close to $500/month

Almost 2 weeks, but only because I was out of town/state all last week and have ben playing catch-up all this week - I rarely go a full week without any shooting.

I'll make up for it tomorrow!
