Since SS 109 ammo is not sold in local stores, I would opt for Black Hills 60 or 68 grain soft pointed match ammo.

You can buy SS109 all day long at www.georgia-arms.com. A can of 500 SS109, which is 62 grain, costs $105.00 vs. $70.00 for 55gr FMJ. Look under 'CANNED HEAT'. You can also buy smaller quantities such as 50 for $14.00. Look under 'VARMINT AMMUNITION'. I would not want to be shot with either, but I think the 55gr will work fine. I also like it for my original ArmaLite AR180's made back in the 60's and 70's which have a 1/12 twist. I try to keep a quantity of both on hand, usually quite a bit more of the 55gr.
Personally, I have seen too many people have feed trouble with soft points that I stay away from them.
M4Guy, you make some very interesting points which make a lot of sense. Never thought about the core causing a wobble, but I can see how that would be so.
