Utah has changed it and eliminated firing squad as a choice for execution. Any prisoners who had made that choice before the change would still be shot, but any new people on death row may not choose firing squad. I think that most states that have had these "wierd" methods of execution have changed to lethal injection. |

yeah looked close a few other have it as a choice with injection but at least here no choice you get to ride the lighting

eh if I ever end up on death row they will find me in my cell hanging from a sheet. Why waste the time waiting for big brother to do it, just do it youself.

The nice thing about firing squad is they can still use the organs (except heart...which they're supposed to aim for). Other than hanging, organs can't be used in modern executions.

Florida still has the electric chair, and it is optional, but it isn't ol' Sparky. They replaced it with a newer electric chair.

By whatever method used it should be televised. Put the "message" out, you will fry, fly, swing, or eat a bullet......if you do the crime this is what you will face. That and it needs to be used more often. Wuit releasing them and getting the repeat offenders.

My place of employment is putting one to sleep tonight. He's a real nice guy, stomped an 80 something woman to death and then showed her how much he really cared by setting her body on fire. I hope his future weather forecast involves fire and brimstone FOREVER!!!

Good work- a turd from my county killed a guy in Florida, dumped the body in a swamp and then did like a couple of year in exchange for being a rat on some other deal-got out, came back up here and he and a buddy randomly broke into a house looking for stuff to fence to buy crack-a 90 year old lady wandered out into the hall so they strangled her with a plastic bag.  They'll live out their life comfortably at the NY taxpayer expense (or be paroled )

I think that these wonderful paragons of society should be sentenced to "Life . . . married to a harridan shrew Jewish woman of arabic birth raised in Britain, cold-as-a-fish, with a mouth like a fish-wife who spends their days engaged in the most stereotypical womanly wife behavior."
