BOSTON -- A Boston museum is picking Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and R2D2 over Benjamin Franklin.
The city's Museum of Science is passing on a chance to host an exhibit celebrating the anniversary of Franklin's 300th birthday in favor of one based on the sci-fi movies.
Franklin was born and raised in Boston before moving to Philadelphia.
The $6 million exhibit was to showcase the Founding Father's contributions to science and government.
Instead, the museum said it will hold the premiere of the "Star Wars" exhibit -- which is billed as a look into the real science behind the fiction of the movies.
