I saw these at Midway.

From the Midway website:

Bell and Carlson DuraMaxx Stock Savage Long Action Heavy Barrel Varmint and Tactical Synthetic Freedom Green

The DuraMaxx is a drop-in stock for Savage series rifle. Comes complete with aluminum pillar bedding and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and also utilizes a heavy varmint barrel channel designed to free-float the barrel. Specially designed for the hunter and shooter to be versatile enough for off-hand, bipod or benchrest use. Features a textured surface.

Basicly, I want to upgrade the stock that came with the rifle. I can't afford a McMillian, and never will. The rifle is used for punching paper at 100 - 300 yards.

The reviews on Midway seem good, but has anyone had experience with them?
