In the Feb issue of FHM on page 104. there is an interview with the editor-in-chief of The Onion. Her name is Carol Kolb.The very last question is..

Are there world events that you pray for so that you can make fun of them?

" The next September 11th. The first one was great for us. People saw what we did and were like " You guys are funny. You made us feel good when we felt bad" We're all just hoping for the next big one."

WTF?! they're hoping for the loss of American lives? They're hoping for the next big terrorist attack on American soil? All so that they can make money? I just read that this interview and i am pissed. This is their "comedy special". Does anyone see any humor in that ? I sure as hell do not !

i see no humor in that at all. I see a piss poor choice by FHM to run that as well. What kind of fucking person thinks that's funny?

Perhaps you are missing the point that The Onion is a PARODY political news site. PARODY. With heavy use of irony, sarcasm, and devil's advocacy to make their points. They say/print absolutely outrageous things to get you thinking (hopefully) or laughing (hopefully) because of the insanity of those positions.

Getting angry means you "didn't get it", and should install a sense of humor immediately.

Unlike AIDS, 9/11 is not funny.

I would say that its just someone's sick sense of humor, and it wasn't very funny at that.
