According to the lab results on Wednesday, I am in the final stages of renal failure.
My Albumin/Creatinine Ratio (mg/g Creat) was 1107.1. A good result is 30 - 50. Since I have a kidney stone and turned in a red urine sample, the test results should have been disregarded. My Hemoglobin A1C HPLC was 7.4% and my Glucose was 131, but then I have type two diabetes. Anyway, the doc is dragging me in tomorrow morning to have a talk with me. Funny, I don't feel dead. |

... man, what is in the air lately - Da_Bunny, you be cool and take care of yourself
With a kidney stone, the diagnosis is meaningless.
Still enough to add to the gray hair. Keep us posted. Ops |
I was thinking of falling out of my chair in the Dr's tomorrow.
WOW, nobody is insulting me in my death thread.......finally a little post-mortum respect!

Hard to type while holding loot. SGatr15 PS Best wishes |

I call dibs on the carcass for a stew! |
Oly sucks. Feel better now? |
I say go for the fake collapse at the doctors office. Or Photoshop a Kidney on Ebay and take it in to the doctors and ask him if he can do a side job.
Really hope you can shake it off man. |
Are you going on the machine and the list for a kidney?
Good luck Bunny! |
Well are you back from the Doc's yet?
I hope everything is O.K. |
Dude you dont want to eat a guy with renal failure. He is going to taste like shit!
Sounds like you had a skewed test result. I believe you'll be just fine - minus the pain of passing the stone. Best wishes. Please keep us updated.
Nah. Just boil the piss outta him! |
Ya but he has diabetes too. Full of medications. Free range bunny he is not. The way I see it, Da bunny is akin to veals that are in those cages. He should be pretty tender though. Nice pale soft flesh.

Get better dammit!
I would feel guilty as hell tasting the wabbit stew! |
Thats another consideration! Make sure to remove the stones prior to cooking or you may break a tooth.
Make sausages, the grinding will take care of the stones. |

Sorry I'm so late on this one. First, what's the latest?
Second,my partner has type 2 Diabetes as well, she was nowhere REAL close to renal failure, but her albumin was like 57 shortly after we met, before that it was in the high 40's (48?), "normal" is under 30...the higher the albuimin the worse your kidneys are functioning. 6 months after she started doing what I suggested, her albumin dropped to "normal" I'm thinking around 27 maybe? Then 1 year after she was at 9. Anyway, omega 3 fatty acids make up a LARGE portion of what kidneys are made up of.... I VERY much suggest looking into the intel on this. Omega 3's and vitamin C was, IMO/IME what turned her situation around. Try googling: kidney abstract "renal failure" "omega 3" And good luck. Hope things have improved. :) |

I'm doing much better now, thanks for asking! I went in on the 23rd of Dec and had the stone removed via laser (lypokrispy). I had to wait in the hospital for a couple hours while JAFO got of work and picked me up from the hospital. He drove me home, going 70 miles round trip out of his way on a work night.
While I wait for him I got exposed to a respitory illness at the hospital that kept in in bed for two weeks after the surgery and put me in the Emergency Room on New Years Eve for breathing treatments. But I am feeling much better, now that I finished the anto-biotics and I'm working my way thru the steroids. Between the kidney stone, arthritic hip and lower back pain from laying around too much, they gave me a wheel chair to shut me up. I'm fitting it with a rifle rack, and I need some digital woodland camo fabric for seat covers. |
Great! And sure thing.
Good.
Sorry to hear about THAT. Can't say I'm surprised though (taht's dissing the medical establishment, btw ;)
Again, good.
As I do not know enough about you to realize if you're kidding or not.... pick the appropriate response: 1. 2. Good for you! 3. Go get `em! |

My dad has been on perineal dialysis for 2 years. He had bad numbers on tests and had the tube surgucally place in his stomach. He is 68 and fairly mobile. He exchanges fluids 4 times a day. He has a diet that has alot of meat in it. Gets a checkup about once a month. He elected not to go with a transplant at his age. He says life is not over and has been enjoying life even though he can't travel like he used to.
Hope you can get some good alternatives. GL. steady |

Damned, I thought this was going to be a joke thread.
Good luck. |
Do not drink cranberry juice - it is the worst thing to drink for those prone to kidney stones.
Regarding preparing Da Bunny for eating - you must catch him by complete surprise - fear causes adrenaline and adds a weird taste to the meat. |
He needs a kidney. You are young and healthy--and have a spare. E-mail incoming. Da_Bunny, I wish you well. |
Hope you get better, though. |

That's because I haven't joined the fray. Now its 3 guys! Best of luck. BTW, when I saw the title to this thread I thought it was about CATS, not people. Hey, What are the dimesions of your wheelchair pad? |

Wow, I'm still putting rifles together. I have a Improved Colt trigger equipped LCW lower waiting on a M4-type profile, CMMG, mid-length, 1:7, 4150, chrome-lined barrel and a Magpul M93A2R stock, as well as a 416 Stainless Maxxhard 16" 1:9, M4-style barrel that I'm getting a matched pair of Maxxhard receivers for...I'm going to keep it an Oly Puro, though...(well, maybe a couple little things...) I'm glad I stocked up on drum mags for the AK's and some new thirties for the AR's, it sounds like LaBunny may need some standoff firepower... Having this hobby helps me keep my mind off my health problems. Thanks for all the kindness guys, and good luck getting to the guns through the ring of flame and steel. The wheel chair pads are.... 16" X 20" for the seat and 16" between the upright loops X 19" high in the back... Guess I better figure out how to hang a buttpack on the back too.... LOL! |

Guess I need to drive to Washington to do some onsite camo work on your wheels.. |
