Ferguson,

It was that very attitude that got the idea of gun control laws started after the Civil War.

And personally, you can take that attitude and STICK IT.

Ferguson, stuff that crap.  You are the kind that give gun owners a bad name.  As was already said, attitudes like yours is what got gun control started in the first place.  What's next, women shouldn't have them.  Some anti's have said that we think only white rednecks should have guns and in your case they are correct.

For anyone still interested in the topic,
there are some good  articles there.
I liked this one.

Ten Reasons You Need A Gun
1. The first reason you need a gun in your home is to prove that you have been lied to for over three hundred years. After you learn that firearms are no different than any other mechanical device and that it takes skill to use it you will begin to question all the forces that have been at work to disarm you.

2. You need a gun to protect yourself and your family. The US Supreme Court has ruled that the police have no obligation to protect you. Your call to "911" should sound like this, "I am calling to report that I have successfully stopped the aggressive action of a criminal attacker and his body can be found at …”

3. Do it for the children. In today's world, children are more in tuned to the news and current events. Provide training for and educate the child in your life. Training should include all the safety measures to prevent curiosity, mishandling and abuse. Training saves lives. The chances that your child discovers a gun left on a crime scene, in school or in your home is high enough that you should take the same precautions you did for poison, sharp objects, fire and premarital sex to prevent your child from becoming a statistic.

4. It is fun. There are so many facets to the shooting sports that I cannot list them all. Shooting for fun is only limited by your imagination and skills. It is one of the safest sports in the world. It is not reliant on your gender, physical size or race. I have two professional athletes in my family but I rule on the range.

Link Posted: 6/15/2001 1:10:00 PM EDT
[#14]
part II

5. Value. Every year more legislation is written to make it harder to obtain, own and collect firearms. None of the 40,000 laws on the books have ever stopped a crime but no one realizes this but the folks you see on TV. The quality firearm you buy today is like a bar of gold. Sell it in the future if you don't plan to use it and profit from the sale.

6. Do it to piss off your neighbor. Not a good reason, but some people assume that all gun owners are white radicals. Dare to be different. Show others that someone of color understands their rights could love the sport or that has an interest in firearms is not a criminal, a cop or a psycho.

7. It’s legal. Gun ownership has been an issue since the invention of gunpowder. The people in power have always wanted to limit who was able to protect themselves. One of the reasons it was included in the US Constitution was that the right to keep and bear arms is a right not given to slaves. Only free people can own firearms. Indentured servants, convicts and wards of the state, cannot own firearms.

8. Do it for your health. Shooting is stress relieving. The amount of concentration required to hit a bulls-eye, clang a steel target, bust a clay pigeon can take your mind off of the worries of home and business. There are disciplines that appeal to everyone. There are target shooting with pistols, rifles and shotguns. The choice is yours.

9. Do it because you still can. Since 1630 AD, gun control has been based upon keeping guns out of the hands of people of color. The first gun control laws in this country were specifically created to deny black men from owning a gun. When that didn't work, the price of firearms was increased to allow only the wealthy to be able to get them. Laws called the “black codes” were created to prevent ownership of even a pellet or steel shot. In order to survive, black people have been conditioned to fear each other, guns and to depend on the government to help them. Every leader of our past has tried to change this by advocating self-reliance and independence. Only we can save ourselves.

10. Just do it! Don’t be afraid to go against the stream of lies, propaganda and cultural taboo regarding firearms in the black community. You don’t drown if you fall into water, only if you stay there!

OK, Ferg . . . Clue me in.
To whom is this "warning"/threat addressed?

I haven't read the link, but it's a link, not a post. I don't see any other posts in here that are racist, sexist, bigoted, or otherwise objectionable . . . except for the Ferguson/toilet analogy . . .

It's  one thing to discuss stereotypes, another thing to promote them. As a moderator, you should be able to make those discrete distinctions.

I've had my opinionated ass kicked out of "TheFiringLine.Com" several times for being obstreperous and outspoken. I keep getting back in. One of the things I particularly like about AR15.com is that opinions and some considerable profanity are not censored.

Never met a "moderator" who didn't have issues with power and authority. Let's see if you can prove me wrong.

[addendum]

OK, reading down the page some considerable ways, I find that the objectionable post was deleted. The warning needs to point this out. Otherwise you get reactionary comments like mine.

Still, you need to address the warning specifically to the post and specify exactly what the objection is. Otherwise we're all subject to wild speculation.

Today on Rush Limbaugh's show, Rush mentioned several statistics from the last Presidential election that showed how monolithic the Black vote is.  Unfortunately it's monolithic in its support for Democrat Socialists.

It's refreshing to see members of the Black community that use independent thought and come to the correct conclusions.  I think conservative leaders in the Black community could do a lot to turn their community around.  Kudos to Kenneth V. F. Blanchard for his support for the 2nd amendment.  I'd go shooting with him anytime.

A_Fly,

I was under the impression your remark was toward me. If so my suggestion wasn't an endorsement of MCUzi.com just another suggestion as an alternative to go if you can't see beyond the color of someone's skin. Personally I adhere to one of Dennis Miller's philosophies (one of a very few)- there are so much better reasons to dislike someone than just for superficial reasons such as race, gender or ethnicity, just get to know them and you'll have plenty of reasons.  Or to put it differently, I'm not a racist, I hate everyone equally.[}:D][;)][8]

P.S. I am registered at McUzi.com but have in no way ever contributed to the racist threads there or here for that matter. It's definitely good site for Shock Value![:O]

Welcome to the site of the Nations' most audacious gun rights advocate!

Hi, my name is Kenneth V. Blanchard, self-proclaimed chief evangelist for the right to keep and bear arms.  I am a trainer, security consultant and part time super hero.
I realized that for the most part, my people are crying out for stricter gun laws since, for the most part, we have a tendancy to blame society for out ills.
I happen to be one of those amongst us who enjoy firearms.
Heck, I even own an MP-5!
So I had this great idea....
I would pose in a photo in a pair of blue jeans, a big shiny "Texas Ranger" belt buckle, behind an American flag holding my 5, and preach about gun rights.
That way, every middle class gun owning white man would see me, and without thinking, aleviate all of his fears about the black race!
So, as I got all dudded up in my white-man threads, I REALIZED?!?!?!?!
IF I WROTE A BOOK, EVERY WHITE MAN OUT THERE WHO IS DESPRATELY LOOKING FOR A REASON TO EXPLAIN WHY HE LOVES BLACK PEOPLE FOR NO REASON WOULD BUY IT, AND USE IT AS HIS EXCUSE!!

"See! They all aren't that way!" Mr. White man will say, as he holds up my book!

Yeah. I got them so snowed, it isn't even funny.
Thanks for buying my book!

Sincerely, your brutha in arms

Kennith V. Blanchard

Sooo. Has anyone read this guy's book? Is it worth $25 or so? If it'll get my brother interested in owning a firearm it'd be worth a lot more than that to me. Generalizing can be done by itemizing differences... ie skin color, sex, eye color, gross income, and toenail length.  But how valid are those statistics when describing an individual person.

It is each individuals choice how they deal with and in society.

You need to chill out.  I never posted anything over there that was racist.  I hardly see McUzi.com as racist, the guys over there just like to be jackasses at times and vent their frustrations at certain societal issues through off color humor.  There is a vast difference between jackassery and what Ferguson posted here which was genuine hatred.  Overall its a fun site, and I ignore the stuff I don't like.  I welcome you to continue this debate with me over there [8D]
