I just saw an old episode of "Hollywood squares" and one of the facts that they had was that Jimmy Hendrix made over 100 jumps with the 101st Airborne! Is that true?!

Yeah, it's true. I think he was injured on a jump and was discharged.

In 1961 at age 17, James Marshall Hendrix enlisted in the 101st Airborne. He recieved an injury on his 26th jump and was medically discharged after 14 months service.

Yep,and according to VH-1,he even supported our fight in Viet Nam.(at least early in the conflict,so they say)
